Who are we looking for
Motivated professionals with a technical/non-technical educational background or sales experience to do all things Sales, Sales Ops, and Sales Enablement. You will work on our Go-to-Market and delivery functions together with the CEO. You will source, qualify, and generate potential customer leads, and learn key skills in sales development, deal making, and client management.
The problems you will solve
Prospect hunting: Serve as the primary contact point for new business prospects, identifying and cultivating opportunities with potential customers.
You will need to get creative when hunting down prospects.
Business relationships: Hold high-level discussions with top executives in prospect accounts to stimulate our growth.
Process design: Collaborate closely with our sales and marketing departments to formulate and prioritize strategic target account lists.
Design business processes/systems that support continuous operations of the company as well as manage/improve/automate these processes and systems.
Pipeline management: Ensure sales success by using and updating a CRM system religiously with pertinent data.
Manage, monitor, and report all activities and results of the sales funnel.
Sales calls/system setup: Engage in strategic inbound/outbound prospecting, pinpointing key decision-makers, and generating interest in Betterdata solutions.
Manage and respond to inbound/outbound communications.
Closing deals: Develop and execute a robust prospecting plan (including outreach strategies) to increase customer acquisition and conversion rates.
Employee operations: Training employees to complete required operations processes independently, setting employee schedules/performance expectations, and supervising employees in their completion of daily operations functions.
Daily operations: Ensure continuous operations throughout the company on a daily basis through close supervision of teams and individuals, and through their own direct work advancing business processes.
Based on your experience, you will work closely with the CEO and the business team to profile customers in different sectors based on niche use cases for sales outreach.
3+ meetings: Schedule and attend meetings with qualified decision-makers from target companies.
10+ relevant contacts: Find, verify, and record email addresses of stakeholders within target companies by attending online/offline events, reading reports, and conducting market intelligence research.
10+ connections: Establish connections with target stakeholders offline/online.
Branding: Actively enhance brand awareness through lead nurturing campaigns via online/offline events, email, and professional networking platforms.
The impact you will have
As a Sales Engineer, you will be working with the CEO and business team managing all commercial aspects of our business. You will drive additional demand for Betterdata’s business in JAPAC, maintain process and workflow efficiencies, engage with our customers, and provide ongoing customer relationship management and support.
2+ years of experience in sales or a related field.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of the tech industry, with emphasis on data, AI, and privacy matters.
Self-motivated individual who can work efficiently within a team to exceed set objectives.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to think critically and overcome obstacles to success.
Proficient in using CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
