Who we seek:

We’re looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to supervise general accounting operations and control our financial transactions. Your responsibilities will include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, preparing month-end close procedures, and ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of the company's accounting activities, among other tasks.

You possess both excellent analytical skills and an in-depth knowledge of accounting principles to efficiently analyze financial reports and forecasts. You should also have experience in managing accountants and junior analysts.

What you’ll do:

Work closely with the Senior Manager of General Accounting to complete the daily and monthly activities, including:

  • Review and manage accounts payable
  • Prepare and post inter-company journal entries
  • Weekly cash report - consolidate cash in and out for all entities and prepare a summary report for the parent company
  • Prepare and update schedules for month-end close activities (prepaids, accruals, fixed assets, amortization, depreciation, etc)
  • Participate in year-end close processes
  • Create timely and accurate accounting reports and present them to the company's executives and senior management
  • Work with financial and accounting managers to optimize the company's accounting systems
  • Develop your own recommendations to improve procedures and detect inaccuracies
  • Take part in forecasting and financial standards-setting processes
  • Participate in the department’s goal-setting activities
  • Support and oversee internal and external tax audits, and tax returns
  • Support business processes and accounting policies and prepare corresponding documentation
  • Ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP requirements
  • Manage a small team of accountants and junior analysts

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years experience in general accounting
  • Extensive experience with typical accounting procedures
  • Good experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Good practical experience with accounting systems. NetSuite preferred.
  • Good knowledge of financial accounting statements and business trends
  • Good understanding of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or other relevant area
  • Certification such as CMA or CPA are advantageous
