About Decentro
Decentro is building financial infrastructure that enables businesses to access banking, payments, KYC, lending, collections, and related financial services through modern APIs. As we scale our platform, deepen our ecosystem partnerships, and expand into new opportunities, we are looking for an exceptional professional to join the Founders’ Office – Investor Relations, Strategy & Growth.
This is a high-ownership role that works directly with Decentro’s founders at the intersection of investor communication, business strategy, cross-functional coordination, go-to-market execution, ecosystem development, and market intelligence.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator and structured thinker who can represent the company professionally, keep high-priority initiatives moving across teams, develop well-researched points of view on market opportunities, and operate confidently in founder, investor, partner, regulatory, and industry forums.
This is not an administrative role. It is designed for a strong operator who can act as an extension of the founders—bringing clarity, preparedness, follow-through, and commercial judgment to high-impact priorities.
Key responsibilities
- Investor communication and strategic narrative
- Support and manage regular communication with existing and prospective investors, including updates, meeting coordination, follow-ups, and information requests.
- Prepare high-quality investor updates, business-performance summaries, metrics dashboards, board materials, fundraising collateral, and diligence documentation.
- Maintain an organised investor CRM, interaction tracker, fundraising pipeline, document repository, and follow-up calendar (when needed).
- Work with founders, Finance, and functional leaders to collect, validate, and present key business, financial, product, growth, and operating metrics.
- Help sharpen Decentro’s strategic narrative across financial infrastructure, payments, banking APIs, enterprise adoption, product growth, partnerships, and international opportunity areas.
- Support fundraising processes, including market mapping, investor research, meeting briefs, diligence coordination, Q&A tracking, and post-meeting follow-ups.
Founder-led internal coordination
- Act as a central execution partner for founder-led priorities, ensuring that decisions are converted into actionable plans, owners, timelines, and measurable outputs.
- Coordinate with Product, Engineering, Business, Partnerships, Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and People teams on high-priority initiatives.
- Run structured follow-up mechanisms for leadership reviews, cross-functional meetings, OKRs, strategic initiatives, and important company commitments.
- Identify execution blockers, unclear ownership, key dependencies, and decisions requiring founder intervention; escalate these with clear options and recommended next steps.
- Improve the quality, cadence, and accountability of leadership communication without becoming an unnecessary approval or reporting layer.
Expansion and GTM
- Support market-entry assessments, including market sizing, competitor mapping, customer-segment prioritisation, regulatory context, distribution considerations, and commercial feasibility.
- Work with founders and business teams on GTM planning for new products, partnerships, enterprise segments, and strategic initiatives.
- Support strategic-partnership development, including partner research, outreach preparation, meeting briefs, follow-up coordination, and commercial evaluation.
- Attend selected fintech, payments, banking, startup, investor, policy, and industry events on behalf of Decentro.
- Identify relevant conferences, forums, networking opportunities, speaking platforms, and ecosystem relationships aligned with Decentro’s strategic priorities.
- Prepare founder talking points, event briefs, stakeholder background notes, post-event summaries, and actionable follow-up plans.
Market research and policy engagement
- Track developments across fintech, digital payments, banking infrastructure, lending, KYC, data, cross-border payments, and financial-services regulation.
- Conduct market, competitor, policy, and ecosystem research to identify emerging risks, opportunities, partnerships, and strategic implications for Decentro.
- Support engagement with industry bodies, trade associations, policy forums, ecosystem groups, and other relevant external stakeholders.
- Assist in drafting policy submissions, consultation responses, industry perspectives, briefing notes, and external position papers, in close coordination with Legal and Compliance teams.
- Build relationships responsibly and professionally with ecosystem stakeholders, while maintaining Decentro’s standards of ethics, accuracy, compliance, and brand representation.
What we’re looking for
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in Founders’ Office, Investor Relations, Strategy, Business Operations, Consulting, Corporate Development, Venture Capital, Investment Banking, Growth, Partnerships, or a high-growth startup.
- Strong preference for experience in fintech, payments, banking, lending, API infrastructure, B2B SaaS, financial services, consulting, or adjacent sectors.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft investor-ready updates, leadership briefs, presentations, decision memos, and external stakeholder communication.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities, including experience with market mapping, competitive analysis, opportunity sizing, financial analysis, and business-case development.
- Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with senior stakeholders, including founders, investors, partners, advisors, industry bodies, and internal leadership.
- Excellent project-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple high-priority workstreams, coordinate diverse stakeholders, and drive closure.
- High degree of ownership, maturity, discretion, responsiveness, and comfort working with sensitive commercial, financial, and strategic information.
- Strong proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets and presentation tools such as Google Slides, PowerPoint, Notion, or similar platforms.
- Willingness to travel periodically for relevant investor, partner, ecosystem, industry, and market-expansion engagements.
- Must be based in Bengaluru or willing to relocate.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience supporting a startup’s fundraising process, investor relations programme, board reporting, diligence, financial modelling, or investor CRM.
- Prior work with early-stage to growth-stage venture-backed companies, venture-capital funds, investment banks, consulting firms, or corporate-strategy teams.
- Familiarity with India’s fintech and regulatory ecosystem, including RBI, NPCI, banking partnerships, payment aggregators, KYC, lending and similar.
- Existing involvement with fintech associations, startup ecosystems, industry forums, policy networks, or trade bodies.
- An MBA, CA, CFA, postgraduate business degree, public-policy qualification, or equivalent experience is valuable but not mandatory.
- Comfort with BI dashboards, SQL, CRM tools, project-management systems, automation workflows, and data-driven reporting.
What success looks like
- Within the first six months, this person should be able to:
- Establish a reliable and high-quality investor update, data collection, follow-up, and documentation cadence.
- Build clean investor, partner, and ecosystem trackers with clearly managed next steps, meeting history, and ownership.
- Improve visibility and closure on founder-led cross-functional priorities.
- Independently produce well-structured market, partnership, or expansion analyses that influence leadership decisions.
- Identify and support relevant industry events, policy forums, partnerships, and external engagement opportunities.
- Become a trusted extension of the founders—known internally for clarity, responsiveness, discretion, and executi
