As a Field Service Technician at Mantle, you will play an integral role in building Mantle’s Service Department from the ground up. You will be trained to be our in-house expert on all aspects of our 3D printing systems and will interact with our customers to make sure they are well-trained to use our products and respond to repair/maintenance issues when they arise.

Note- This role will involve up to 50% travel time to customer sites within the continental US. This role will initially start on the Manufacturing team and will transition into Service once product knowledge can support service activities.

Responsibilities Include

  • Assembly, calibration, and testing of 3D metal printers
  • Calibration and setup of sensors and 3 / 4 axis control systems
  • Day to day use of 3D metal printers and sintering furnaces
  • Refining and editing of standard operating procedures (SOPs), training procedures, and service procedures for our products
  • Installation of equipment at customer sites as well as training customer users
  • Troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of printing systems in the field both remotely and on-site.
  • Evaluating and resolving customer problems, inspecting data to determine the solution to problems that arise at customer sites

Your Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years experience in an engineering role building, supporting, or maintaining industrial equipment. Experience with multi-axis CNC control systems a plus
  • Associate degree in an engineering or technical discipline preferred
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills with minimal oversight
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% time

The pay range for this role is $100,000 - $110,000 per year and is commensurate with experience relative to the position. Position also includes stock options that are subject to vesting. Actual compensation will depend on various factors, including experience, skills, and location. Mantle is an equal opportunity employer.
