We’re looking for a Governance & Oversight Director

The Governance & Oversight Director reports to the VP, Compliance and is responsible for implementing the governance framework that ensures all products adhere to applicable compliance standards throughout their lifecycle. This position involves overseeing compliance program governance, conducting risk assessments, and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate compliance measures are integrated into product development and operations. This colleague must be organized, efficient and flexible; work well under pressure; understand highly technical products and services; develop strong, cross-functional partnerships; feel comfortable presenting to senior audiences and leading without authority; and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

How you will make an impact:

The following represent the key responsibilities of the role as they exist today. This role may expand to include responsibilities that may be new to the Director, Governance & Oversight.

  • Work with relevant corporate functions and product teams to ensure that compliance requirements are appropriately identified, implemented, monitored and audited to ensure compliance with legal obligations, voluntary certification schemes and standards, and specific customer commitments.

  • Work with Product Managers, Engineering, Software Development, IT Operations, Legal, and Information Security to incorporate compliance considerations into product development and operational processes as well as customer agreements.

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify areas of vulnerability and work with cross-functional teams to ensure product compliance risks are tracked and managed in manual or GRC tools and mitigation plans are developed and executed timely to address identified risks.

  • Remain informed of evolving laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to Entrust’s products and work across teams and departments to provide guidance and training on compliance requirements and controls.

  • Prepare and present reports on compliance status, issues and resolutions to senior leadership committees and, as needed, the Board of Directors.

  • Manage the Compliance Governance Board (e.g., scheduling, setting agendas, maintaining minutes and materials).

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Law, Business, Engineering).

  • Experience: Minimum of 10+ years progressive experience in product compliance, regulatory affairs, or a related field.

  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards relevant to Entrust and the company’s industry.

  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of, and experience with, certification schemes and standards relevant to Entrust’s business (e.g., ISO 27001, ISO 27701, SOC2, PCI-CP, PCI-DSS, FIPS).

  • Skills: Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills. Ability to manage complex projects, work collaboratively and influence without authority.

  • Previous leadership experience and strong executive presence are essential.

Compensation Range:


The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $166,491-$244,187 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.
