Position Overview:

We are looking for a Software Developer II to join our Hybrid team in Sunrise, FL. In this role, you will be part of a data security development team, with an active role in the design and development of our next generation suite of Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), client-side tools, and Post Quantum Cryptographic libraries. The qualified candidate will work with minimal supervision and utilize knowledge, experience and judgment to accomplish goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, test, deploy, debug, implement C/Python/Go software applications and services

  • Effectively apply Agile (Safe) methodology to track progress and enforce project standards

  • Develop, test, and maintain software solutions that utilize container technologies

  • Participate in requirements definition, documentation and code reviews

  • Contribute to the estimation of work for the team by defining task breakdown, project duration

  • Solve complex technical problems with demanding requirements, in innovative, practical ways.

  • Review code from others on team

  • Develop and maintain automation and CI/CD environments

  • Function independently with project assignments and with minimal supervision

  • Confidently interact, collaborate, and innovate with team members

  • Identify opportunities to drive innovation, accelerate product launches, and remove bottlenecks to deliver results

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant discipline.

  • 3+ Years relevant software development experience creating embedded applications

  • 3+ years C, python programming experience

  • Go programming experience is a plus

  • Embedded and application development from embedded code & drivers to client-side tools

  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills

  • Strong experience with a Python Unit test framework

  • Understands the concepts of embedded Linux development

  • Ability to travel up to 10%, both domestic and international

  • Must be able to lawfully work within the US and have unrestricted work authorization for US

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Application security design, and development of secure services architecture

  • Experience with Design, build, verification, and debug of VHDL-based FPGA solutions

  • FPGA High Level Synthesis, understanding of math algorithms and Simulation experience is a plus.

  • Understanding of cryptography: key management, symmetric/asymmetric keys, crypto algorithms

  • Experience with complex, multi-component projects, using multiple development languages

  • In depth Experience of the Windows, Linux Operating systems

  • Experience integrating software with embedded hardware devices

Where you will be: This role is hybrid, requiring three days a week in-office in Sunrise, FL, as specified in the job description. At Entrust, we have a distributed workforce.

Compensation Range:


The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $100,781-$147,813 per year (in the primary posting location). Actual compensation will be determined based on geographic location, education, skills and experience. This position is also eligible for the company’s discretionary annual incentive plan.
