We’re looking for a Intern, Software Developer – For Entrusts Citizen Remote Identity Verification team (CIDV) - Hybrid in Ottawa
We are seeking a motivated Software Developer Intern to join our team for an 8-month term. This is an excellent opportunity for a 4th-year Computer Science or Software Engineering student (or 3rd-year with relevant experience) to gain hands-on experience in modern software development practices.

How you will make an impact:
Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain software applications.
Work on projects leveraging .NET Core and C# for backend development.
Contribute to AI development initiatives, including integrating AI-driven features into applications.
Utilize GitHub Copilot and other modern tools to enhance productivity and code quality.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related program.
4th-year student preferred; 3rd-year students with relevant experience will be considered.
Experience with React, .NET Core and C#.
Experience with AI development concepts and frameworks.
Knowledge of GitHub and version control best practices.
Located in Ottawa and able to work hybrid.
Proficient in verbal and written communication.
Strong attention to detail, time management, and planning.
Preferred Qualifications:
Exposure to GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted coding tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
Understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns.
Experience using tools to manage, build, and test code.
Interest in learning additional languages and frameworks as needed.

Compensation Range:
The pay range for this position is $26 - $28 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, skills and experience.
