Responsibilities:
- Lead Program Management: Fully own and manage multiple complex software/hardware projects with major accounts from contract signing to successful completion.
- Client Collaboration: Work closely with senior executives and managers in defense organizations and large commercial companies.
- Translate Needs into Solutions: Convert customer requirements into prioritized engineering solutions.
- Hands-On Involvement: Actively participate in writing and reviewing requirements and documentation, engage in product testing ("dogfooding"), and contribute to technical design reviews.
- Strategic Planning: Craft a data-driven, outcome-focused roadmap that aligns with company strategy.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and improve KPIs to ensure outstanding system performance across various environments.
- RFI/RFP Management: Oversee and author responses to RFIs and RFPs in significant B2B and B2G processes.
- Leadership Contribution: Play a pivotal role in the company's leadership team.
- Experience: 7+ years in program management within successful defense companies or the military; experience with defense startups is a significant advantage.
- U.S. Defense Market: Experience with software/hardware projects in the U.S. defense market is highly preferred.
- Technical Background: Professional software engineering background or similar; a B.Sc. in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is a plus.
- Domain Expertise: Technical experience in one or more of the following areas - Military Robotics; Video Streaming; Cybersecurity; Enterprise IT; RF Mesh Networks; Embedded Systems
- RFI/RFP Experience: Proven success in managing or significantly contributing to RFI and RFP responses in B2B and/or B2G contexts.
- Software Development Lifecycle: Strong understanding of modern software development practices.
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English.
- Communication Skills: Excellent at communication, influence, and cross-functional collaboration; able to create clarity and drive focus in complex, dynamic environments.
- Travel: Willingness to travel internationally at least once every six weeks.
