About the role:

You will be working on a dynamic project aimed at defining patient subgroups responsive to treatment by leveraging bioinformatics and machine learning techniques.

In particular, you will:

Develop methods and perform analysis on various biomolecular modalities, including bulk, single-cell, and spatial transcriptomic data, as well as mutational calls from Whole Exome-Seq.
Develop and implement patient representations to enhance our understanding of complex biological diversity of cancer.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate bioinformatics and machine learning for biomarker and target discovery in line with Owkin's mission.

Position is based in our Paris office.

About you

Required qualifications / experience:

Passion for contributing to advancements in personalized medicine and healthcare.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a BSc / MSc degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, machine learning, data science, or a related field.
Strong background in bioinformatics with expertise in analyzing at least one biomolecular modality (e.g. genomics, transcriptomics, etc).
Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their application to omics data is a plus.
Advanced skills in programming languages such as Python/R is strongly encouraged and experience with relevant libraries and frameworks is a plus (e.g., Seurat, DESeq2, Scanpy ect…).
Good understanding of statistical methods and experimental design.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with large and complex datasets.
Effective communication and collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment.
