About the role:
We are looking for an inspirational intern to join our Biomedical Operations team. Reporting to the Director, Program Leader Spatial Transcriptomics and Single Cell Technologies, you will have the opportunity to support our Molecular Biology Multi-Modal Data Quality Control, and help the team to determine best ways to structure our QC process. You will also be co-tutored by our Senior Project Manager.
In particular, you will:
- Collect QC values from the lab, CROs, and data scientists and compile them into a comprehensive report.
- Work with high-throughput molecular biology data types including H&E images, bulk RNA sequencing, whole exome sequencing, single-cell RNA sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics.
- Communicate with the data analysis and project manager teams to determine the best way to structure QC processes.
- Collaborate with the lab team to define sources of variation and troubleshoot processes to improve data quality.
- Utilise data visualisation and basic statistical methods to elucidate underlying sources of variation and trends, facilitating informed decision-making
Position is based in our Paris Office

About you
Required qualifications / experience:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, molecular biology, bioinformatics, biotechnology, or a related field.
- A Convention de stage from your university is REQUIRED.
- Experience with data organisation and visualization tools with the ability to create plots to visualize QC data such as MS Excel or Google sheets.
- Strong interest in molecular biology with the willingness to understand the whole process.
- Experience in data analysis and statistical methods with the ability to show trends and patterns and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Experience in molecular biology lab work such as RNA/DNA isolation, PCR, quantification, library preparation, H&E images, histology or similar.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred qualifications/bonus:
- Experience with command-line and data analysis tools such as R and Python
- Any experience in NGS sequencing such as bulk, single cell or spatial RNA-seq data analysis (mapping reads, normalization methods, differential expression, pathway analysis, CNV identification...)
