Protos Labs is a Singapore-based cyber insurtech company founded by ex-Booz Allen cyber leaders in late 2021. We enable insurers and enterprises to make better risk decisions that result in increased profitability, enhanced efficiency, and lowered risk undertaking. We are the first early-stage startup to win the Cybersecurity Agency of Singapore (CSA) Innovation Call 2021 in the area of cyber risk management.

The Role

In this role, you will be reporting to the CTO, and will be responsible for :

• Developing highly scalable, reliable, secure, fault-tolerant systems and code bases with minimal guidance, using Python.
• Building complex backends for clients across industries including but not limited to Financial Services, HealthTech, EdTech, etc.
• Contributing to product engineering and system integration for private cloud platforms.
• Owning design, strategy, and software development quality of the team.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to learn and share best practices.
• Research new technologies and tools to improve the products and processes.
• Exercising high ownership and initiative.
  
  

Ideal Profile

• You possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• You have at least 5 years of professional experience developing complex and highly scalable products, ideally using Python or other programming languages like Java / C++.
• You have hands-on experience working on PostgreSQL.
• Your knowledge or experience deploying on AWS using Docker and Kubernetes will be an added advantage.
• You possess a start-up mindset and have the ability to take ownership and drive successful outcomes.
• You have excellent communication and collaborative skills to liaise with cross-border teams.
