About the team:

FIS is looking to add an energetic, talented, and experienced release and deployment manager to our growing team. For the complex core banking product, we have multiple clients in different releases and versions. Role of the release and deployment manager is to have end to end ownership and expedite release promotion to teams, clients.

What you will be doing:

  • Define Technical Release deployment and Management processes

  • Incorporate Continual Service Improvement into Release Management processes

  • Manage and maintain an overview/baseline of all versions of all products in a MBP software package

  • Ensure that each release build is complete

  • Create Harness build tickets. Deliver Harness builds to Deployment Management and communicates contents

  • Assure the quality of release instructions

  • Understand and manage technical/system dependencies between various components in a release, including back out processes

  • Understand and ensure no regression errors arise from packaging sequence

  • Ensure that each defined release will be deployed consistently in every environment it is installed to

  • Identify potential improvement to deployment artefacts and tooling for the various components

  • Responsible for Leadership/coordination and success of all deployments into environments

  • Responsible for scheduling deployments into environments (proactively or at environment owners’ request)

  • Handle on-demand deployment requests negotiating flexibility, challenging stakeholders and expectation management

  • Responsible for management playbook creation, mock event organization and orchestration and production deployment event execution / orchestration including enhanced oversight post deployment

  • Able to drive resolution of complex triage issues, leading a team of SMEs in a resolver group to find solutions to unblock release testing or raise engineering defects through driving to root cause

What you bring:

  • Overall experience of 8+ years

  • Mandatory experience into Release Management and deployment.

  • Knowledge of Jenkins, Harness, CICD, Azure

  • Applications: OneNote, Teams, Outlook, Jira, SNOW

  • Build tool: Bit Bucket, SVN, GIT, GitLab, Maven etc.

  • Soft Skills: Communication Skills, Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking, Adaptability and Flexibility, Time Management and Prioritization, Collaboration and Teamwork, Leadership and Team Management and Stakeholder Management
