Your mission

As SPARETECH’s first security hire, we are looking for a Security Manager who will take ownership of the strategic direction and the hands-on execution of our security program, covering infrastructure, application security, and compliance. In this role, you will work closely with HR, IT, and Engineering to embed security into core processes, manage organizational risk, and ensure that we continue to scale securely as a global SaaS company.

This is an individual contributor position with broad responsibility. You will serve as the primary security point of contact for internal teams, external partners, and auditors. The role reports to the VP Engineering and operates with a high degree of autonomy.

• Maintain, enforce and control established security policies, standards, and best practices, ensuring they evolve with the organization’s needs
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and remediation
• Lead compliance efforts, prepare for audits, and execute follow-up actions to address findings, ensure continuous improvement, and maintain regulatory readiness
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate security into development workflows and the SPARETECH product offering
• Evaluate and implement security tools and technologies to support scale and automation
• Educate and train employees on security awareness and protocols
• Act as the primary point of contact for security-related matters, both internally and externally
• Conduct threat modelling, risk assessments, and vulnerability management
• Lead strategic security initiatives to further mature SPARETECH's cybersecurity posture

• Have experience with compliance frameworks and audit processes
• Have strong communication skills and the ability to influence across teams
• Are comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, global startup environment
• Have proven experience in security engineering, architecture, and leadership roles
• Have between 5 and 10 years of related professional experience
• Have deep understanding of cloud security, application and IT security, and DevSecOps
