About the role

Take on a senior leadership role on our Integrations team at Taktile, where you’ll architect and drive the evolution of our decisioning products. In this position, you will build and optimize cutting-edge software solutions, mentor engineers, shape integration strategies, and influence product direction at a higher level. A deep background in Python, AWS, and designing resilient API architectures is essential for excelling in this role.

Location
Taktile operates on a hybrid model. Choose to work from our Berlin HQ or our Iasi Hub in Romania.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable API integrations with new service providers and products.

• Conduct and elevate code reviews, ensuring best practices, maintainability, and high-quality software across the team.

• Define and champion design standards and best practices for robust, secure, and high-performance API solutions.

• Conduct technical deep dives and guide teams through complex design decisions.

• Develop strategic integration approaches that align with business goals while ensuring optimal reliability and security.

• Ensure clear, high-quality documentation of API endpoints and integration processes for internal and external stakeholders.

• Monitor system performance, proactively troubleshoot issues, and drive innovation in operational excellence.

Ideal, But Not Required

• Experience with FastAPI, DynamoDB, Pydantic, AWS Lambda.

• Proven track record of scaling Python-based solutions in high-performance environments.

• Expertise in serverless architectures.

Required Experience

• Extensive hands-on experience in RESTful API development and management.

• Expertise in AWS infrastructure and cloud services.

• A strong track record as a senior individual contributor delivering high-quality software solutions.

• Fluency in English (written and spoken) to effectively communicate in our global environment.
