About the role:
The developer is responsible for developing software application modules and components. Create analysis, Impact analysis, Prepare design document. Follows development standards. Should perform and participate in testing including, identifying test data and test cases, executing and documenting test results; diagnosis, troubleshooting and remediation of test defects
About the team:
Team develops, maintains transfer agency system, and support business to complete daily business activities. We develop complex modules of TA systems used in Capital Markets.
What you will be doing:
- Perform application coding and programming through utilizing best practices and thorough knowledge of the system.
- Create low level design documents, artifacts for applications, modules.
- Perform unit testing, document test cases and results.
- Utilize version control software and configuration tools.
- Create and update technical documentation.
- Participate in source code reviews.
- Create effort estimates based on business requirements.
- Identify impact to an application due to a project / enhancement.
- Learn standard technology tools, programming languages and frameworks and apply as appropriately.
- Provide production support. Address the tickets. Troubleshoot and resolve common production issues.
- Participate in cutover and implementation activities.
What you will need:
Technical Skills / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- 2 to 5 years of Experience
- Proficient knowledge of IBM iSeries (AS/400 or AS400) and programming languages (COBOL/400, CL/400, CLLE, ILE, RPG)
- Strong database concepts (DB2/400) and familiarity with tools for database tools (SQL)
- Proficiency in MS office tools
- Experience in delivering projects using a standard Project Life Cycle Methodology (waterfall / Agile)
- Proactive, result driven approach and be able to work with team members.

- Excellent communicator – ability to discuss technical and business solutions with project team.
- Attention to detail – track record of authoring high quality documentation.
- Organized approach – manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements.
- Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team
- Willing to work in Flexible schedule.
- Must be able to perform under pressure.
- Must learn and maintain knowledge of software components as necessary to support application builds and deployments and maintaining production environments.
Added bonus if you have:
- Java Knowledge/Experience is preferred
- MQ series Knowledge/Experience is preferred.
- Style sheets, Schema Knowledge/Experience is preferred
