About the role:
As a Business Systems Analyst, you’ll act as the voice of the customer to ensure our teams deliver best-in-breed products that advance the way we pay, bank, and invest. You’ll work with an experienced team and must be a self-motivated, proactive, and dynamic thinker.
You stay engaged with your customer during projects, keep them informed of your progress, and ensure they are progressing with their deliverables.
You leverage your skills with Windows Desktop / Server, SQL, Linux, and general IT administration, to deliver successful implementations of FIS products running on those platforms. The IT generalist is a champion here, being able to identify, troubleshoot, and engage the correct technical resources on both the FIS and customer side.
You translate technical product specifics and client challenges into clear and concise stories for technical and non-technical people.

About the team:
FIS Core PC Product Implementations is the client onboarding liaison between our client’s technical staff and the FIS products they are onboarding to. We enable our customers to be successful with FIS products for various banking cores; when our customer is successful, so are we. Each customer’s business is unique; we listen to customers to understand their environment, then advise their IT staff as they decide how to best deploy and administer our products, adhering to product requirements.
What you will be doing:
Following established procedures for the products you will be working with.
Work directly with client, project, and/or program managers to implement FIS products successfully, within product specifications, scope of work, and established timeframes. Projects vary in size from self-driven to enterprise-wide programs.
Identifying implementation process issues or improvement opportunities, then working with senior team members to enhance implementation procedures and test.
Support, as required, issues and questions encountered between onboarding start, go-live activities, and client support turnover.
Drive and track your multiple assigned projects scheduled throughout the year.
Completing any "paperwork" required as part of the project workflow.
Partner with your direct and indirect team to collaborate, learn, and deliver successful solutions.
What you will need:
Must have strong Windows Desktop / Windows Server administration and troubleshooting skills.
Customer facing role providing hands on/off technical software implementation, guidance, and training to customer’s technical staff. Must be strong with professional presentations, written, and verbal communications.
Ability to address technical and non-technical audiences, shifting your conversation between all experience levels. Comfortable addressing both C-level and entry-level staff often in the same call.
Ability to learn, understand, and communicate system architectures from high level to granular details. Translate the technical to the non-technical and vice-versa.
Comfortable with training customer’s technical staff on how to implement and administer FIS products.
Able to own issues from start to finish, including identification, research, and delivery of resolution.
Able to maintain a flexible schedule for implementation go-live events. After-hours and weekend support is to be expected depending on client or project requirements.
Comfortable with working both remotely from home and/or in an office facility.
Professional home office environment with reliable high-speed internet access.
Able to work with and troubleshoot common off the shelf software / hardware.
Functional understanding of Active Directory and related IT infrastructure essentials (User Accounts, RAID, TLS, SSL, SAN, RAM, CPU, VDI, NAS, Citrix, Terminal Server, Thin Client, AS400).
Strong with SQL Server administration (installation, security, maintenance, database backup / restore).
Basic SQL query, windows scripting, and data entry.
Strong network troubleshooting skills (ping, tracert, tnc, firewalls, ports, NAT, IP, proxy, DNS).
Functional with common business software, Office 365 suite, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Browsers, VPN, authenticators.
Travel is not expected, but ability to travel if required.
Added bonus if you have:
Experience with Windows PowerShell, Batch, T-SQL, OpenQry, or other scripting.
Experience with server / desktop virtualization and thin clients.
Experience with Business Intelligence systems and concepts.
Experience with Change Management, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery concepts.
Experience with IIS, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, File Transmission, and Tomcat.
Experience with certificates and encryption.
Experience with Java, OpenJDK, and Java based applications.
Experience with Point-Of-Sale (POS) hardware devices / teller systems / cash registers.
Experience with highly regulated industries, financial organizations, banking core, and teller solutions.
Experience working in high security, change restricted, audited environments.
Experience with being a user of ServiceNOW, Planview, Workday.
Experience with cloud architecture and concepts, Azure, AWS, etc…
Experience with IBM Cognos Analytics, IBM ACS, or IBM iSeries AS400.
Experience in a technical sales organization, managed IT services provider, SaaS, PaaS.
Experience with SDLC and project leadership / management skills.
Experience with customer service, technical support, service delivery rollouts, remote control software, virtual conferences.
