Job Description

Every day, our teams innovate across the world of finance. We collaborate to work smarter, while making a difference. We believe in diversity and inclusivity, giving a voice to everyone on the team. And we celebrate our success together. If you want to make an impact in fintech, we’d like to know: Are you FIS??

About the role:
As a Programmer Analyst, you’ll help develop new fintech products that will change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This could involve working with bleeding edge technology while coding, implementing, maintaining and supporting software applications.

What you will be doing:

  • Developing program logic for new applications and modifying logic in existing applications. This involves streamlining installations of drivers and applications in varied environments using Windows BATCH type scripting.
  • Coding, debugging, implementing and maintaining software applications. For this position, there is no “coding” required, outside of BATCH scripting. Debugging, Implementing, and Maintaining applications that are installed at customer sites are the main tasks.
  • Maintaining and integrating new application components. Sometimes requires developing scripting and assisting customers with integrating FIS applications into automated software installation structures.
  • Ensuring deployment of system improvements. This involves instructing the customers, usually in great detail, about how the applications are installed in their environment and reviewing all of the logs and troubleshooting information to assure that the customer is able to self-support for most basic issues.

What you will need:

  • Be aware of the FIS end-to-end systems development life cycles (this will be communicated during training).
  • Proficiency in business modeling and requirements definition disciplines.
  • A bachelor’s in computer science or information systems or equivalent experience.
  • Strong Windows workstation and Server knowledge with the ability to manipulate files and folder structures.
  • Strong scripting ability for installation of various peripheral devices and Windows applications.
  • Strong communications skills for working with customer technical and operational staff of varying experience levels.
  • Strong willingness to learn new methods and application environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting ability for Windows applications and interaction with various financial-type peripherals (USB, Serial, network-attached).

Added bonus if you have:

  • Experience with applications for troubleshooting Web Browser based applications like SPLUNK.

What we offer you:
At FIS, you can grow your career as far as you want to take it. Here’s what else we offer:

  • Opportunities to make an impact in fintech
  • Personal and professional learning
  • Inclusive, diverse work environment
  • Resources to give back to your community
  • Competitive salary and benefits
