About the team:
Client Office CoE Leadership has a vision of simplifying the process of Data Migration and Integration for our customers to make it a seamless process for the various projects we undertake across our suite of platforms.
The Global Data Migration & Integration (DMI) team is responsible for building a ‘Plug-n-Play’ platform leveraging the latest tools and technologies that support data migration for our customers from their existing systems to FIS product suite.
The Platform will cater to a host of FIS products, will be highly configurable and scalable to handle high volume processing (10 – 100 billion records).
About the role: This is a leadership role in the Data Migration Practice expected to drive the vision and strategy of developing a ‘Plug-n-Play’ Data migration platform that leverages tools and best design practices to deliver a world-class, scalable ‘Data Migration & Integration’ solution across multiple FIS platforms, for our global customers.
The role will work closely with the Global Head of Shared Services in defining the vision and strategy for the Data Platform.
The role will engage with senior leadership of the Professional Services organization, Sales & Pre-sales in pitching our Data Platform to our customers.
A big focus will be on Talent attraction, retention and upskilling, driving a proper talent strategy for the Group.
The leader will have strong technology acumen and bring in cutting edge tools and technologies (AI, Gen AI) to drive efficiency, acceleration and better value proposition to our customers.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the Data Migration & Integration Group, providing leadership and guidance to deliver on the vision of building various scalable plug-n-play Data Platforms in conjunction with the Head of Shared Services
- Define and drive strategy & vision of Plug-n-Play Data platform for Data Migration & Integration for a wide range of FIS products, ensuring the most appropriate tools and design are used to drive stable, scalable solutions
- Liaise with both internal and external clients to understand their Data requirements and explain the ‘Data Platform’, Data Strategy offering from FIS
- Regular connect with PS, Solution Management & Sales on potential ‘Data’ opportunities and engage in demos with clients / prospects and provide estimations and inputs to RFPs
- Minimum of monthly interlocks with PS leadership to update them on Project delivery acceleration for deliveries within their LOBs, discuss pipeline opportunities, delivery risks & issues etc
- Regular connects with 3rd party vendors that provide Data migration tools (e.g., Adeptia) to ensure that FIS is well supported in the use of tools for our Data Platforms
- Interlock with Tech. CoE on tools, trends, and overall Data Platform strategy for Capital Markets
- Ensure that all the programs on Data Platform are delivered on schedule and budget and risks are managed effectively
- Own & run SteerCo and Program governance on strategic programs & initiatives on DMI
- Tracking the commercials of the DMI engagements and ensuring they are delivered to agreed budget
- Responsible for ensuring all timesheets are completed accurately and on-time and team resources are fully utilised on billable work
- Talent Development and retention, mentoring and coach the team. Drive continuous upskilling on current trends and technologies – Gen AI, new tools etc
What you will need:
Technical Skills
ETL (Extract, Transform, Load): Knowledge of ETL processes and tools to manage data extraction, transformation, and loading between systems
SQL and Database Management: Knowledge of SQL and experience with databases like SQL Server
Data Analysis: Ability to analyze complex data sets and create source to target mappings
Programming Languages: Exposure to programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala for data processing and integration tasks
Cloud Computing: Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for data storage and processing Experience of designing scalable solutions for high volume (1 billion + transactions / day) Experience of Data loading capabilities in Cloud – e.g. Snowflake Experience of working on Data Migration tools – e.g. Adeptia, Talend, SSIS, etc.

Project Management: Strong project management skills to oversee data migration and integration projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
Team Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering collaboration and ensuring high productivity
Communication: Excellent communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders, understand requirements, and provide regular updates
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
Data Quality and Governance: Ensuring data quality and implementing governance policies to maintain data integrity throughout the migration process Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges and optimize data migration processes

Staying Updated: Keeping up with the latest trends and technologies in data migration and integration to implement best practices
