About the Role:
As a Senior Solution Consultant (Functional) within the Sales Engineering team, you will leverage deep expertise in Core Banking business processes to support sales teams in qualifying opportunities, uncovering client requirements, and designing best‑fit solutions. You will play a critical role in shaping how our clients modernize their core banking operations across Retail and Corporate Banking.

This role focuses on functional knowledge areas such as deposits, payments, customer onboarding, loan servicing, limits & collateral management, compliance, and product lifecycle management within a modern core banking transformation.


What You'll Do:

  • Support development of sales strategies and position FIS solutions competitively.

  • Lead functional discovery workshops to understand business objectives, requirements, and challenges.

  • Translate business needs into solution proposals, functional architectures, and high‑level operating models.

  • Deliver compelling solution presentations and business‑fit demos tailored for operations, business users, and C‑suite stakeholders.

  • Build, configure, and tailor demo environments that reflect realistic customer scenarios.

  • Respond to RFIs/RFPs and lead functional elements of Proof‑of‑Concepts.

  • Provide thought leadership on core banking transformation, regulatory trends, and industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with product teams to communicate market needs and functional gaps.

  • Support Professional Services to ensure seamless transition from presales to delivery.

  • Work with global presales teams to align best practices and solution positioning.

  • Travel is required approximately 30% of the time.

What You'll Need:

  • 8+ years of experience in Core Banking, Functional Presales, Business Consulting, Product Management, or Banking Operations.

  • Strong understanding of core banking domains: deposits, lending, payments, customer records, accounting, limits & collateral, and compliance.

  • Proven experience delivering business‑oriented demos and presentations.

  • Ability to articulate value propositions, ROI, and business transformation narratives.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Familiarity with competitor products and industry landscape
