About the role

As a Senior Lead – Sourcing/Procurement (Individual Contributor), you will independently own strategic sourcing, contracting, and supplier management for Cards and technology spend supporting Banking & Payments businesses. This is a hands‑on role requiring deep domain expertise, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across Product, Technology, Finance, Legal, Risk, and Security—without direct people management responsibility.

What you will be doing

  • Act as the end‑to‑end owner for the Cards and Software / Hardware procurement category supporting Banking & Payments platforms.
  • Independently lead strategic sourcing initiatives including spend analysis, supplier evaluation, RFx execution, negotiations, and final supplier selection.
  • Drive complex commercial and contractual negotiations (pricing, licensing, renewals, SLAs, incentives, exit clauses, and risk protections).
  • Own the full contract lifecycle—renewals, amendments, compliance, performance tracking, and issue resolution—in close partnership with Legal and business stakeholders.
  • Serve as a trusted procurement advisor to senior leaders, influencing decisions through data, market insights, and commercial judgment.
  • Establish and manage supplier governance and performance reviews (KPIs, QBRs, remediation plans).
  • Partner with Risk, InfoSec, and Compliance teams to manage third‑party risk, audits, and regulatory requirements.
  • Align and ensure adherence of the regional procurement with global policies, procedures and standards.
  • Identify and deliver measurable value outcomes such as cost optimization, risk reduction, and improved contract governance.

What you bring

Must‑have

  • 10+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing.
  • Strong individual contributor track record, owning complex sourcing and negotiations independently.
  • Proven exposure to the Cards & Technology domain, including procurement support for payment platforms and fintech products.
  • Deep understanding of Card Bureau engagements, Software licensing, SaaS models, and technology vendor ecosystems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills in a matrixed, global environment.

Bonus ( If any)

  • Prior experience sourcing technology for payment processing, card issuing, fraud/risk, gateways, digital payments, or adjacent fintech platforms.
  • Familiarity with procurement tools and workflows (Oracle, Coupa, Ariba, Ivalua, etc.).
  • AI prompt capability and working with AI agents.
