What you will be doing
* Perform database installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, backup, recovery, and cloning activities for Oracle and PostgreSQL database.
* Troubleshoot issues related to SQL, storage, memory, CPU, and database availability.
* Manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN backup/recovery, and Goldengate replication environments.
* Ensure high availability, disaster recovery readiness, and database security compliance.
* Perform capacity planning, health checks, and proactive monitoring to ensure stable database operations.
* Coordinate with application teams during deployments, migrations, release activities, and production support.
* Analyze incidents, identify root causes, and provide permanent fixes for database-related issues.
* Support database migration, performance tuning, and automation activities using shell scripting.
* Ensure all operational activities are documented and executed as per organizational standards

What you bring:

* Min 5+ years of experience is required.

* Strong experience in Oracle Database Administration on Linux/Unix platforms.

* Exposure to PostgreSQL administration , installation, configuration, backup/recovery and performance monitoring
* Expertise in Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, and performance tuning.
* Hands-on experience in database backup/recovery, patching, upgrades, and cloning activities.
* Knowledge of Oracle Goldengate replication and high availability solutions is preferred.
* Good understanding of SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle architecture, and Unix shell scripting.
* Experience in handling production support environments and critical issue resolution.
* Ability to analyze AWR, ADDM, ASH reports and troubleshoot database bottlenecks.
* Strong communication and coordination skills with application and infrastructure teams.
* Ability to work independently and handle multiple production environments efficiently.
