This is a product leadership role focused on shaping how financial institutions grow and optimize their card portfolios at scale. As a Sr. Manager of Card Portfolio Strategy & Product, you’ll lead a team responsible for driving activation, usage, and retention across credit and debit programs through consulting and managed advisory services—combining product strategy, analytics, and commercial execution to deliver measurable results.
You won’t just define what a high-performing portfolio looks like - you’ll build the strategies, programs, and team needed to deliver it. This role sits at the center of PaymentsEdge, translating data and insights into real outcomes for clients.
What you will be doing:
- Lead and develop a team responsible for executing client portfolio growth strategies, analytics, and related marketing campaigns
- Set the vision and strategy for card portfolio growth across PaymentsEdge clients, with a focus on activation, usage, and retention
- Define KPIs, benchmarks, and success metrics that reflect a healthy credit and debit card portfolio
- Drive end-to-end lifecycle strategies - from acquisition and activation through engagement, usage, and retention
- Translate portfolio data and behavioral analytics into scalable product and commercial offerings
- Oversee the execution of growth and retention programs, including marketing and advisory campaigns
- Benchmark performance against top issuers and guide the team in translating insights into client strategies
- Partner directly with clients as a senior advisor on portfolio optimization and growth opportunities
- Collaborate across product, sales, and client teams to commercialize offerings and drive revenue
- Ensure strong analytics, reporting, and insight generation across the team, with clear ties to client outcomes
- Build and scale team capabilities, processes, and operating rigor
What you will need:
- Experience leading teams in product, portfolio management, or commercial strategy environments
- Strong background in card portfolio management (credit and/or debit), with a clear understanding of activation, spend, retention, and lifecycle metrics
- Commercial product or GTM experience - ability to translate insights into scalable, revenue-generating offerings
- Proven ability to drive portfolio performance through data, analytics, and targeted programs
- Experience working with or benchmarking against leading card issuers
- Strong stakeholder leadership skills, with the ability to influence internally and externally
- Ability to operate across product, analytics, and client-facing environments
Added bonus if you have:
- Experience leading campaign execution teams (e.g., marketing, lifecycle, or portfolio programs)
- Exposure to advisory-led or performance-based revenue models
- Background in customer segmentation, behavioral analytics, or portfolio optimization tools
