We’re Scan.com, the digital health scale-up that gives patients and their clinicians simpler, faster access to medical imaging.

At the heart of Scan.com lies a different way of doing things: empowering patients to own their healthcare decisions and get the scans they need when they need them, while easing clinician workloads. It’s our mission to make medical scans accessible to all.

You’ll be joining us at an exciting time - our B2B platform is expanding rapidly across insurance, medicolegal and consultant verticals, we’re now offering 10+ scan types, and working with 200+ imaging centres in the UK. With a total of $60m in VC funding raised, we’re on track to grow over 300% in 2024.

What You Will Be Getting Involved In

As an early Business Development team member, you will have an influence on the future development of the Business Development function.

This role is field-based in the UK. You must be willing to travel and have a care and clean driving licence.

As an early-stage business, you can expect your role to develop over time. However, some of the types of things you could be getting involved in are:

  • Manage 2x SDRs to support growth in target channel currently Referring providers and medico-legal
  • Meeting sales targets for sign-ups and volume of referrals to scan.com
  • Maintaining relationships with key accounts across multiple sales channels and sharing feedback/insight back into the wider Scan.com team
  • Calling on Referring provider practices to have them refer patients through Scan.com to our partner radiology and imaging centres
  • Building cross-functional relationships with team members across the US
  • Playing a key role in shaping the future success of Scan.com in the UK

WHAT YOU MIGHT BRING TO THE TABLE:

We don't believe anyone is the finished article; therefore, you might not tick all the boxes. However, these might be some of the ways you are currently adding value that apply to this role:

  • Proven experience in a closing sales role, ideally field sales
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident cold caller. This role requires dropping into potential clients unannounced. You should feel confident in that element of the role
  • Previous experience in medical sales, pharmacology, or medico-legal is advantageous but not essential
  • Previous experience or a desire to work within an early-stage business where priorities change, and things move fast!
  • A motivated self-starter who can work autonomously is a must

HOW WE WILL INTERVIEW YOU:

We try to keep our interview process short, and as a small business, we can move through the stages quickly. Due to availability, there may be a change to the order of the interview process, but generally speaking, this is what you can expect:

  • Introductory call/interview with Clare, our Global VP of People. The call is usually via telephone and will last around 30 minutes
  • Should it feel like there is an initial fit for all, we will invite you to a video call with the hiring manager for around 45 minutes. This is a more structured interview and will deep dive into the role and technical needs
  • Some, if not all, of our roles, will have a small assessment stage. This might be in person, a take-home assessment or further video calls. Length varies; however, we are mindful that you will have your own work to do and, therefore, try to keep it as simple as possible
  • Meet the founders and/or other team members. Again, length varies depending on how many people and whether in person or via video call
  • Offer!

We divide this into the basics you should expect and the added benefits.
